Join as a Cadet

Who can join?

One of the Largest Youth Organisations in the UK.

220 (St Albans) Sqn is open to to all those aged between 13 and 19 and new cadets can join up to their 18th birthday.

Whether you’re interested in joining the RAF after you leave school, have an interest in aviation and its surroundings or, perhaps, just fancy a challenge, the Air Training Corps is an experience well worth trying.
We run structured recruitment training programmes beginning at regular intervals throughout the year. These allow you to attend the Squadron on normal parade nights (Monday and Friday evenings) and meet up with your fellow cadets as you begin your cadet career training towards your “First Class” classification.
Next Recritment Night: TBA.

How do I join?

  • You’re more than welcome to come and visit the squadron on any parade night to get a taste of what happens at 220 Squadron. If you fancy giving it a go we’ll give your parent/guardian a consent form and we’d be happy to invite you back on our next recruitment programme.
